As a nonprofit, community organization, our mission at the 500 Festival is to produce life-enriching events and programs that celebrate the spirit and legacy of the Indianapolis 500 and foster a positive impact on the city of Indianapolis and the state of Indiana. The Mini-Marathon is the 500 Festival’s largest event with 30,000+ runners, joggers, walkers, and wheelchair participants from all 50 states and 15+ countries around the world each year.

Your participation in The Greatest Spectacle in Running supports the 500 Festival’s youth health, fitness, and education events and programs, which are provided to Indiana schools for free. Through the support of one million past race participants and each new Indy Mini registration, the 500 Festival is able to reach more than 100,000 Hoosier children annually through free and meaningful programming.
