Your Race Organizers
The 500 Festival
The 500 Festival is the race organizer for the IU Health 500 Festival Mini-Marathon, the Delta Dental 500 Festival 5K, the 500 Festival Miler Series presented by OrthoIndy, and the Indianapolis 500 Mile Challenge & Gasoline Alley 250 Mile Challenge, presented by PNC Bank.
The 500 Festival is a nonprofit community organization with a mission to produce life-enriching events and programs that celebrate the spirit and legacy of the Indianapolis 500 while creating a positive impact across Indianapolis and the state of Indiana.
The IU Health 500 Festival Mini-Marathon is the organization’s largest event, welcoming more than 20,000 runners, joggers, walkers, and wheelchair participants from all 50 states and more than 15 countries each year.
Participation in The Greatest Spectacle in Running® directly supports the 500 Festival’s free youth health, fitness, and education programs, which reach more than 100,000 Indiana youth annually.

Your Registration Matters!
With every race registration, you support the 500 Festival and its youth health and education programs.
Each year, more than 63,000 Indiana youth learn the importance of health and fitness through 500 Festival programs, including the free 500 Festival KidsFit Program for Indiana classrooms in grades K–6. Through a mix of in-class lessons and running activities, students work toward a collective goal of running 13.1 miles over the course of the program.
The KidsFit experience culminates on race morning at the KidsFit Final 5K, when students travel to Indianapolis to complete their final 3.1 miles along the IU Health 500 Festival Mini-Marathon course.
Make a gift today to help Indiana students cross their own finish line through KidsFit.
